ALL THE RAGE!

No, we're not angry... we're EXCITED! There is a legitimate GAMING and COMIC BOOK STORE on FESTUS MAIN STREET! Just East of Petit Paree Restaurant & Lounge sits ALL THE RAGE! We stopped in the other night and scooped up a recent issue of The Regular Show comic and the 5th Edition of D&D Monster Manual. I actually squee'd with glee in my kitchen at home as the book crackled with newness when I first opened it as it had been in the display case before I purchased it.

There were about a half a dozen or so patrons in the store playing various CCGs and queuing up at the register to ask questions about the newest things that were available.

My minion eyed the Pokemon cards...I think I may be making several trips to this store in the near future.

It is good to see Festus Main coming alive again. With the microbrew coming soon and the recent addition of the coffeehouse, it is becoming quite the happening little scene.

Unboxing the D&D Starter Set

We stopped in to The Fantasy Shop today and picked up some comics and the new D&D Starter Set. Here is an unboxing:

So what is in it?

It FEELS old school. It LOOKS old school. On the box is new artwork that pays homage to Larry Elmore’s classic red box cover. Let's face it. That's probably why I bought it. Plus, my son looked at me like: "BUY THIS!"
